That Time Of Year…

This is that time of the year that I find myself reflecting upon the many areas of my life. Family, relationships, work, ministry, spiritual goals, and personal goals are all likely targets of this process. nbsp;It has been an amazing year. I am truly thankful to the Lord for His blessings. nbsp;I look forward to sharing some of these reflective in the days ahead.

Christmas Bike Project

The Christmas Bike Project is a service project of the Teens Alive Teen Ministry of Open Door Baptist Church. New bikes are given at no cost to needy children in our area. All donations are tax deductible. Contact me if you can help bring a smile to a child this Christmas.

Public School Ministry

Teen Ministry has always been an important part of my ministry life. A few years ago I prayed for an opportunity to expand that ministry beyond the church. A door was opened last year that allowed me to do a weekly Bible Study with students at a local Junior High. This year that opportunity has grown to include three schools. My involvement with students includes encouragement, prayer, a brief lesson from Gods Word, and a reminder concerning Gods gift of salvation.

This past week another opportunity has presented itself in a neighboring school system. This school system has been under great pressure to not allow anything Christian. A door has opened to speak about Christ. I am asking the Lord to bless. I am also asking my praying friends to lift us and these students up in prayer.

Teen Ministry and Missions

I am very excited for our teenagers and the opportunity they will have to meet and hear Romanian Missionary Mark Waddington and his family this Wednesday evening in Teen Church. This is Marks forth time being with us and we always have a great service. Marks primary work is ministering to teenagers who are in prison and developing teams of caring believers who will do the same. Marks wife, Violeta, works with female prisoners.

I am also very proud of our teenagers for raising nearly $200.00 in support for this precious family. In total, our teens have given over $400.00 to missions over the past three months.

Book of Galatians Outline – PDF Copy

A Study in Galatians

I have begun a new study in the Book of Galatians for the ABC Sunday School class. I plan to teach through this book verse by verse beginning in January 2011.

My personal study method began one month ago by reading and listening to the book multiply times over the course of several weeks.  Then, I set up a notebook with the Book of Galatians printed out for marking, highlighting, outlining, etc.   I will then add additional notes, outlines, etc. from other sources.  At some point soon I will then begin breaking my study down into a teachable / lesson format for a class.  I love studying in this way.

I am attaching a copy of the format I made and am using for this study: Study Format – Book of Galatians
